On Saturday the weather was great and we were up & about quite early so we headed over to Lighthouse Park.
It was around 8.00am so the trails were still lovely and quiet, except for the raucous birdsong.
Looking down to the Lighthouse.
The view from West Beach, where we had seen a seal on the rocks on our previous visit last year, no such luck this morning.
The view West from the lookout near West Beach across to Bowen Island with much smaller Passage Island in front.
Closer view of Passage Island
The 8.30am sailing to Nanaimo passes in front of Bowen Island.
The view North West from Shore Pine point.
A fisherman is getting set up.
Then from Juniper Point we have this view North over West Vancouver Whytecliffe neighbourhood with the snowy peaks of the Sunshine Coast behind.
Across the middle of Bowen Island towards the mountains behind the town of Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast.
The panorama view from Juniper Point.
Mojo enjoyed his walk even though there weren’t as many dogs to play with as normal !
Then during the afternoon I held an open-house at a duplex in Central Lonsdale. While the house and the open were uneventful it did afford some nice views of the North Shore mountains.
The Lions
Grouse Mountain
And the range behind Lynn Valley including Lynn Peak.
