Burghley House

While we were staying in Peterborough we had a day out at Burghley House. Built between 1555 and 1587 Burghley was originally occupied by William Cecil and the house is still owned & lived in today by direct descendants of him. The house is open to the public and we enjoyed walking around the large grounds and the interior which has been maintained & restored.
